Post Graduation Course in Astronomy & Planetarium Sciences

Started since 1993 the post graduate diploma programme is probably the only one in the country which deals with planetarium sciences in addition to astronomy and astrophysics. This 10 month, once a year course is meant for science graduates with mathematics as one of the subject at the under graduate level. This 5 day a week course is conducted in the evenings. The classes are held by senior university professors and reputed scientists. A diploma is given to the participants after successful completion of an examination. This course is structured for motivating and educating candidates interested in astronomy so that they can latter pursue higher studies in the subject and even build a career on it.
